As part of an initiative devised to improve student uptake and participation in university activities, a group of students about to graduate with degrees in Media, Culture and Identity, Film, Photography and Journalism, shared elements of their lives, providing tutors a sample of the student experience.
Students talk about their lives and feelings about studying at Roehampton. They also responded to the question: Do you have a message for your lecturer?
The video was used in staff CPD sessions to stimulate discussion, and to prompt responses to ‘get to know students, create a sense of belonging as well as exploring the implications for assessment, feedback and academic guidance and support.
“I think it is really thought provoking and raises all sorts of issues for the discussion. Well done Judith for getting them inspired to do the film, and a special well done to the students.”
